There are two versions of this article. One for Minecraft's Java edition and another for Minecraft's Bedrock edition.
Please read the first part of this guide before proceeding. You can find it here.
Setting Up The Server
- Go to the Game Panel.
- Select your server.
- Click on the start button, which is located at the upper left corner of the Console tab.
- You will be greeted with a message asking you to choose a server type. In this example, Minecraft Java. Type in the number beside the option you want. For example, enter
1
to select option 1. - You will be asked to choose a Server Software, if you don’t know which to pick, read our Server Software guide.
- You will be prompted to choose a Minecraft version. For example,
1.18.1
. - You will see a popup asking you to agree to the Minecraft EULA. Click on “I Accept”.
Note: It usually takes a while for the server to boot the first time it’s setup.
Manually Setting A Java Version
- Visit the Game Panel.
- Find and click on your server, make sure it’s offline.
- Go to the “STARTUP” tab.

Under “JAVA VERSION”, insert a Java version:
- if your server is 1.12 or below then type
8
. - if your server is 1.13 1.16 then type
11
. - if your server is 1.17 then type
16
. - if your server is 1.18 then type
17
.
- if your server is 1.12 or below then type
- Go back to the console and start the server.
If this does not work, manually delete the
.jabba
folder in the file manager, then start your server.
Connecting To Your Server
- Go to the Game Panel.
- Select your server.
- Click on the server address under the server status. It should automatically be copied to your clipboard.
- Launch your Minecraft client.
- Click on “Multiplayer”.
- Click on “Add Server”.
- Enter in any server name in the “Server Name” field.
- Paste in the server address you copied into the “Server Address” field.
- Click on “Done”.

Additional Step
You will be asked to choose a PHP version if you are installing Pocketmine-MP (PMMP).
- For PocketMine-MP 3.23.1 or older, type
2
. - For PocketMine-MP 3.24.0 or later, type
3
.

Connecting To Your Server
- Go to the Game Panel.
- Select your server.
- Click on the server address under the server status. It should automatically be copied to your clipboard.
- Launch your Minecraft client.
- Click on “Play”.
- Click on “Servers”.
- Click on “Add Server”.
- Enter in any server name in the “Server Name” field.
- Paste in the server ip and port you copied into the “Server Address” and “Port” fields.
- Click on “Done”.
