Introducing Server Instances

We're adding a new way to manage your servers on Falix.

The old system:
Every server ran as a single setup. If you wanted to host a different game, switch to a new world or test a different configuration, you had to tear down what you had or own multiple servers to run them side by side. There was no clean way to keep multiple setups ready without the extra cost or the hassle of rebuilding from scratch every time.

The new system:
We're introducing Server Instances. Each instance is its own self-contained environment - with its own game configuration, environment settings, filesystem, backups, schedules, monitoring & more. You can create, switch and delete instances whenever you need, all without touching your other setups.

It's now also possible to spin up an modpack in new instance without touching your previous server setup.

What this means for you:
If you've ever wanted to run a seasonal event, test a new modpack or keep a backup world ready to go - you can now do all of that without owning multiple servers or rebuilding every time.

Improvement April 26, 2026

Changes to Felix AI Rate Limits

We're updating how rate limits work on Felix.

The old system:
Rate limits were based on the number of messages you sent in a rolling one-hour window. The issue: every message counted equally, regardless of size. A quick one-liner used the same share of your allowance as a long, token-heavy prompt. That meant users doing light, conversational work hit limits just as quickly as users running large jobs, and the system didn't reflect actual usage.

The new system:
We're moving to token budgets. Instead of counting messages, we count tokens - the actual unit of work behind every request.

Each user now has two budgets:
- Daily budget - resets every 24 hours.
- Weekly budget - resets every 7 days.

Short messages draw a small amount from your budget. Longer messages draw more. Both budgets are visible in the interface so you can track where you stand at any time.

Cached tokens don't get counted. To reward users for sticking with active & fresh conversations, any tokens served from cache are excluded from your budget - only non-cached tokens are deducted. TTL of caching can vary from 5 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on the task.

What this means for you:
Most users will notice more headroom, especially anyone whose work involves frequent shorter exchanges.

New Console Layout

We've redesigned the console layout to give you a simpler, more powerful view of what matters most — your server.

Full-width console - The console now stretches across the entire page, giving your logs more room to breathe.

New status bar - A status bar sits right below the console showing your server status, disk usage, player count, and server location at a glance.

Software info row - Server software, version, and auto-update settings now live in their own dedicated row, making it easy to see whether you're running the latest version.

Reworked resource graphs - We've simplified the resource graphs to make them easier to read, and added network usage tracking so you can monitor your server's bandwidth.
