A managed database, right next to your app

Managed MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB in a click, or PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis on servers of their own. Your bot, site or API reaches them over a private network.

Two ways

A managed database, or a server of its own

Most bots and sites only need a managed database. Want Redis, full control or resources of its own? Run a database server.

Managed database

A database in one click, nothing to run

Pick MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB and it’s ready, with phpMyAdmin for MySQL. It lives outside your server, so a reinstall never touches your data.

Database server

Your own engine, with resources to match

Run PostgreSQL 17, MongoDB 8 or Redis 7 with memory and CPU of its own. It starts with fresh credentials, and every setting is yours to tune.

Private network

Keep your data off the public internet

  • A private line to your dataYour app reaches its database at a private address, away from the public internet.
  • You decide who connectsLink only the servers that should talk to each other, and unlink them in a click.
  • Invisible from outsideInternal-only mode hides every public port, so only your own linked servers can reach it.
Backups and connections

Back it up, connect it, move on

Database backups

Undo a bad migration in one click

Back up a database before a big change, then restore it or download it whenever you need to.

Connecting

Paste one string and you’re connected

Every managed database comes with a ready-made connection string. Keep it in a secret variable, out of your code and your Git history.

Software

The tools around your app

Grafana, Code-Server and Lavalink each run on a server of their own, ready in a couple of clicks.

Lavalink

A music node for your bot

Lavalink installs with its port already set. Point your bot at it and start playing.

Grafana

Dashboards for your data

Chart what’s in your databases, then put it on your own domain with HTTPS set up for you.

Code-Server

VS Code in your browser

Code from any device, behind a password generated just for you.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Managed database or database server?

Start with a managed database: there’s nothing to run, and your data stays put when you reinstall your server. Pick a database server when you want Redis, full control of the config or resources of its own.

How does my app connect?

Copy the connection string from the Databases page into a secret variable. For a database server, link it to your app on the internal network and connect to its private address.

Can I connect from my own computer?

Yes. Every managed database has a host and port you can reach from your own tools, and for MySQL you can choose which hosts may connect. Want a database server kept private? Turn on internal-only mode.

Are my databases backed up?

Yes. Back up any managed database in a click, then download or restore it whenever you like. Database servers are covered by server backups and Time Machine, like every Falix server. On the free plan, backups are saved to your own Google Drive.

Can I start for free?

Yes. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Grafana, Code-Server and Lavalink all run on the free plan, with 512 MB of RAM, a quarter of a CPU core and 2 GB of storage. Renew in a few seconds each week, or go Premium to stay online nonstop.

Can I use Redis?

Yes. Run Redis 7 on a server of its own for caching, sessions or rate limits. It starts with its own password already set.
