1Introduction & Acceptance #
These terms apply to anyone who uses Falix for Discord. They supplement our User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy.
Falix for Discord (the “App”) is the Discord application named Falix, operated by SIA Baltijas Pakalpojumi (“Falix”, “we”, “us” or “our”), registration number 40203476615, Matīsa iela 61–21, Rīga, LV-1009, Latvia. The App lets you manage your Falix servers from Discord and provides features for Discord servers built around a Falix server, such as status boards, a chat bridge, join applications, verified Minecraft names and moderation syncs.
By adding the App to your Discord account or to a Discord server, or by using any of its commands or features, you agree to these terms. If you have a Falix account, the User Agreement, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Notice also apply. Where these terms and the User Agreement differ on a matter specific to the App, these terms prevail. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Definitions
- Community: a Discord server to which the App has been added.
- Community manager: a member of a community with the Manage Server permission.
- Server owner: the Falix account that owns a game server. Subusers act within the permissions granted by the server owner.
- Community feature: a feature that a server owner sets up in a community for its members, including status boards, the chat bridge, join applications, verified names, role, ban and timeout syncs, welcome messages, in-game reports and staff channels.
2Eligibility & Installation #
You must meet Discord's minimum age. Managing a server through the App requires a linked Falix account with permission on that server.
You must meet the minimum age required by Discord in your country. To link a Falix account, you must be at least 13 years old, as set out in the User Agreement.
The App can be installed in two ways:
- Your Discord account: the App's commands become available in direct messages, in other Discord servers and on mobile.
- A Discord server: a community manager adds the App to the server. The App requests the View Audit Log, View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files and Manage Roles permissions. The Ban Members and Timeout Members permissions are needed only if a community manager enables a ban or timeout sync.
Server management commands, such as starting and stopping a server, console access, backups and whitelist changes, are carried out through the Falix account linked to the Discord account that issues the command. The App applies the same permission checks as the Falix panel: subusers may only perform the actions the server owner has granted them, and suspended accounts cannot use these commands. Member features, such as verifying a Minecraft name, applying to a server or viewing who is online, do not require a Falix account.
3Account Responsibility #
You are responsible for all actions taken through your Falix account using the App, including actions carried out by community features you have set up.
Anyone with access to your Discord account can use the App to manage your servers. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication on Discord. If you believe your Discord account has been compromised, unlink it from your Falix account under Falix for Discord → Settings in the panel and contact support.
Community features operate with the access of the server owner who set them up. For example, the chat bridge reads the server log and sends chat messages to the game, a console channel displays console output and runs the commands entered in it, role syncs add and remove names on whitelists and LuckPerms groups, and ban and timeout syncs run the corresponding commands. A community feature stops automatically when the server owner's access ends, for example when the server is transferred or deleted, or when a subuser's access is removed.
The Falix panel can configure the same features as the /setup command and acts as your linked Discord account when doing so. The Explain crash function sends the server log to the AI assistant and counts towards the server owner's assistant usage. The assistant is covered by our Privacy Notice.
4Community Features #
Server owners and community managers who set up community features are responsible for how those features are used in their community.
If you set up a community feature, you agree to:
- inform the members of your community about the features you use, for example that messages in a bridged channel are shown in the game and recorded in the server log, that status boards may list online players, and that join applications collect the answers to your questions;
- keep console, activity, staff chat and report channels private. These channels can show players' chat messages and IP addresses. The App checks these channels every 10 minutes and disables the feature if
@everyone, or a role that the App assigns automatically, can view the channel; - not use join applications to request passwords, identity documents, home addresses, health information or other sensitive personal data, or any information you do not need; and
- take responsibility for the moderation decisions that ban and timeout syncs apply between Discord and the game.
For personal data processed by a community feature, the server owner who set it up is the controller and Falix acts as processor (see section 8). A data processing agreement is available on request from [email protected].
Removing the App from a community stops all of its features in that community. Their settings are kept for 30 days so that they can be restored if the App is added again, and are then deleted (see section 12).
5Acceptable Use #
The App may only be used to manage servers and communities, in line with our Acceptable Use Policy and Discord's rules.
You may not use the App to:
- send spam or unsolicited messages, including through alerts, welcome messages or the chat bridge;
- harass or threaten others, or collect members' personal data for purposes other than running your community;
- impersonate Discord, Falix staff or any other person or community, including through the App's name, bio, avatar or banner, welcome messages, board text or directory listings;
- post content that violates Discord's Community Guidelines or our Acceptable Use Policy;
- circumvent rate limits or other restrictions of Discord or the App, automate commands at scale, or interfere with the operation of the App or the services it relies on;
- probe, scrape or reverse engineer the App or its API; or
- evade a ban or suspension issued in a community, by Discord or by Falix.
We reserve the right to restrict or block use of the App by any user, community or server that breaches these terms, to reset a community's branding, and to take action against the related Falix account under the User Agreement. Abuse can be reported at falixnodes.net/abuse.
6Content, Branding & Server Directory #
Communities may customise the App's appearance. You keep ownership of the content you provide.
Branding
Community managers may set a custom name, bio, avatar and banner for the App in their community. Names that imitate Discord, its system messages or its staff are rejected. Uploaded images are checked and re-encoded before they are sent to Discord. Falix staff may reset a community's branding at any time.
Your content
Content you provide, such as board text, welcome messages, application questions and directory descriptions, remains yours. You grant Falix a licence to store, process and display it solely to operate the features you have configured, as described in the User Agreement.
Server directory
Server owners with a status board may list their server in the server directory on Falix's Discord server. Each listing, and each later change to it, is reviewed by Falix staff before it is published. Staff may reject or remove a listing and will give the reason. Members may report listings. A listing shows the server's status, online players and daily peak, version, description and tags, and shows its address only if the status board displays it.
7Availability, Liability & Governing Law #
The App is provided free of charge and on an “as is” basis. It depends on Discord's platform, and its features may change.
- Price: the App is free of charge. Features that depend on your server's plan work as they do in the panel.
- Availability: the App relies on Discord's platform, so outages, limits or policy changes at Discord may affect it. Our Service Level Agreement applies to our hosting services, not to the App.
- Changes: we may add, change or remove features of the App. We will give reasonable notice before discontinuing the App.
- Ending use: you can remove the App from your Discord account under User Settings → Authorized Apps, remove it from a Discord server under Server Settings → Integrations, and unlink Discord from your Falix account in the panel.
- Liability and governing law: the disclaimers, limitations of liability and governing law provisions in section 8 of the User Agreement apply to the App. These terms are governed by the laws of Latvia. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
8Data Controller #
SIA Baltijas Pakalpojumi is the controller for your own use of the App. For community features, the server owner who set them up is the controller and Falix processes the data on their behalf.
This privacy notice applies to the App. Your Falix account, the panel and this website are covered by our Privacy Notice, which also applies to the App where this notice does not provide otherwise.
- Falix as controller: linking your Discord account to Falix, the commands you use, your preferences and alerts, Minecraft account links, Linked Roles, the server directory, and security and abuse prevention.
- Server owner as controller, Falix as processor: community features, namely the chat bridge, staff, console and activity channels, verified names on the server owner's servers, join applications, in-game reports, player statistics, role, ban and timeout syncs, welcome messages and status boards.
- Discord as independent controller: all content on Discord, including messages posted by the App, is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected].
9Data We Process #
We process your Discord ID and the information needed to carry out your commands, as well as the data required by the community features a server owner enables. The App does not store message content.
Commands
When you use the App, Discord provides us with your user ID, username, display name and avatar, the language of your Discord app, the Discord server and channel, and your roles and permissions there. We use this information to respond to the command and to check your permissions, and store it only as described below. If your Discord account is linked to Falix, the link forms part of your Falix account.
Stored data by feature
| Feature | Data stored |
|---|---|
| Preferences | Chosen language, last detected Discord language and default server |
| Alerts | Server, selected events, destination (direct message or channel) and any player names used as filters |
| Managed communities | Discord server ID, name and icon; names of the channels and roles referenced in its settings; the fact that you manage it and when this was last confirmed, for display in the panel |
Verified names (/verify) | Discord ID, Minecraft name and, where available, UUID, the server and the time of verification |
| Minecraft account link | Discord ID and the UUID and name of the Minecraft account verified through Mojang at link.falixnodes.net |
| Required links | Temporary one-time codes, for servers that only admit players with a linked Discord account |
| Join applications | Discord ID, Minecraft name and edition, answers, reviewer votes, follow-up questions and replies, the decision and any reason given for a denial |
| In-game reports | Names of the reporting and reported players, chat messages sent shortly before the report, its status and the staff member who handled it |
| Player statistics | Player names and statistics read from the server's world files, and names hidden by the server owner |
| Chat bridge | Names of players who have joined the server, used to announce first joins. Message content is not stored. |
| Ban & timeout syncs | Discord ID and Minecraft name of the member, where the original ban or timeout was issued, the reason and the end time of a timeout |
| Role syncs | Minecraft names added by the App to a whitelist or LuckPerms group, so that it only removes names it added itself |
| Branding | Name, bio, whether a custom avatar or banner is set, and who last changed it. Images are passed to Discord and not retained. |
| Scheduled events | Discord events created by a schedule and the Discord account used to create them |
| Server directory | Listing, tags, description, review status and any reason given by staff; for reports, the reporter's Discord ID and reason |
| Linked Roles | Discord access and refresh tokens (encrypted) and your choice whether to show your Minecraft name and Premium status |
Messages and member events
Because the App uses Discord's Message Content permission, Discord delivers messages from the Discord servers the App is in. The App processes only messages in channels configured as a chat bridge, staff chat or console channel, and ignores all other messages. Messages from a bridged channel are sent to the game together with the member's display name, and the game server records them in its log, which is the server owner's data. Messages in a console channel are run as console commands. The App does not store message content.
Because the App uses Discord's Server Members permission, it is notified when members join or leave and when their roles change. These notifications are used to post welcome messages and to keep role, ban and timeout syncs up to date. No member data is stored beyond what is listed in the table above.
Logs and temporary data
Operational logs record Discord user, Discord server and game server IDs together with errors and results, so that we can fix problems and investigate abuse. Temporary data, such as one-time codes, unsaved changes in the App's menus and recent lookups, is held for no longer than 30 minutes.
